Boy's Bathrooms

Matt shuffled in, more bruises quickly popping up. He started to dab himself off at the sink but sighed, this mess was going to have to take a full out shower... maybe with acid. He just felt scummy after the salad dressing dried and became extremely sticky. "God, I got into a fight with Will Sawyer." He mumbled.

"Did you?" Phil seemed honestly surprised at that. He wasn't expecting to hear that. "I wouldn't have imagined you to. I thought you hero worshiped him."

Matt shook his head at this, "I guess I did- but now I know he's an ass!" Matt continued to mumble about who would tackle an under classmen as he stripped and entered the shower.

"Well, in his defense, you DID smash butter into his shirt. I'm sure that no one would want that happen to him. And also, he probably couldn't tell, and oh, whatever-just clean up. You'll feel better."

"But Phiiiiil," Matt whined as the steam of the shower filled the bathrooms. He sounded quite similar to a child trying to explain to their parent that it was the sibling's fault. "He threw some salad dressing at me first, and I mean, it wasn't like I did out of the blue after he jammed a bowl of jam on my head!"

"Oh, just stop complaining and clean up. You brought this upon yourself, if you ask me." Phil sighed, and he turned towards the shower. "Matt, I honestly think you wouldn't be able to survive at this school if I wasn't playing Mother for you all the time."

Matt went silent for a few minutes, and all that filled the quiet bathroom was the sound of cascading water hitting the stone floor.

"You're right." He said, almost too quietly to be audible.

"Speak up! I didn't hear you!" Phil yelled at him, to mock Matt.

"Phil you sure as hell heard what I said!" Matt shouted back. He turned the shower off, and noted that it seemed a bit odd without the water in the background.

Phil laughed at him. "I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. Anyway, don't you have homework to do or something?"

Matt stepped out of the shower now wearing a clean pair of jeans with a slight rip in his knee, a t-shirt with some sort of muggle band logo on it, and a pair of black Converse. At that moment in time he was glad his mom convinced him to carry about clean clothes wherever he went. "Just Transfiguration and I finished that last night."

"Great, I don't need to nag you, then." he replied simply.

Matt stared at him blankly for a moment.

"...Okay, Mom."
