One Saturday, at lunch...

Matt nodded, using his friend and the bench in front of him for support. A broken smile spread across his face, "Damn! You real are always right!"

From beneath the Gryffindor table, Dianna tugged on Anthony and Brian's pants a bit to get their attention. She definitely did not want to get dirty- especially not with half-eaten food. How disgusting.
"How did this even start?!" She shouted up at them.

Caroline, on the other hand, was having a blast. She had gotten the larger spoon out of a soup dish and was using it to fling things instead of the standard sizes. In fact, she had gotten a great hit on some upperclassman in the back of the head with some weird mixture of pumpkin juice and mashed potatoes.

The boy's elbow accidentally bumped Caroline in his escape attempt. "Sorry," he shot out, not really paying much attention to who it was.

Leah stood up. "I don't like this," she said and walked out, back straight, chest out, nose in the air. Either it was pure luck, or pure awesomeness, but she walked right out of the Great Hall without getting touched.

Brian yelled, looking down. "Oh, it's just you. Why are you hiding?"

Caroline wasn't one for accepting apologies during a food fight. "Jerk! What are you trying to do, kill me?" She turned her full attention to him, temporarily ignoring the food fight.

"This is horrible. We're all going to get in a load of trouble and it'll be so messy. What if the showers are all filled and then we have to wait hours to clean ourselves up?" Dianna was a bit of a neat freak, that was true.

"Wait, shhh!" Anthony quickly hushed him, and he chucked an entire pumpkin pie towards Leah. He quickly ducked under by Brian's feet, so Leah wouldn't have caught him.

"Dianna, it's all a little fun! You should join in." Anthony urged her, still smiling.

And all she got was a view of his rounded behind crawling away like a madman.

"Hey, I'm talking to you-- Ow!" Caroline got hit in the face with some unidentified food, so she quickly turned her attention back to the fight- or, war, as it were.

"Snowball fights, those are fun. This is just rather messy, don't you think?" Even under the table, food was splattering and bouncing everywhere- the rolls were a particularly good projectile, but they mostly just rolled under the table.

Caroline was finding that overfilling rolls with various squishy foods made great grenades, using the term loosely.

"Snowball fights are kind of messy, in there own way. I mean, you're all wet and cold afterwards. You don't feel that way after this." Anthony knelt down, and scooped up some of the rolls.

"Oh, yeah, you end up all mushy and sticky instead." Nonetheless, Dianna got up from under the table and started throwing some things. "This really isn't that fun, though!"

"It's like food dodgeball!"

"Of course it is! You're just not feeling rather enthusiastic about it is all!" Anthony took aim at the back of Josiah's head. It was just the perfect target.

Brian gasped. "You're trying to get all the upperclassmen mad at you or what?! Do you want to be the most hated person in this school?"

A shadow cast over them, as they both got two bowls of steamed carrots in their faces. Derek landed in front of them, laughing hard. "You're both idiots," he said, running off in joy.

Brian pulled his bowl off his head and glanced at Anthony. He had orange mush all over his face. "... That wasn't too cool,"

Dianna started laughing. "Hah! You got carrot-ted!" She said, seeming to get much more excited after that, throwing things and the like.

"That wasn't funny!" Anthony sapped at Dianna, attempting to wipe the muck off of his face. But, he turned around, and glared in the direction of Derek and his friends. "I hate carrots... AND your brother!"

Jennifer slowly crawled through the insanity, managing to land near Anthony, Brian, and Dianna. She didn't like conflict like this at all, she was about to join in before seeing her brother and Will. "This is insane!" She muttered as she poked Anthony's leg, oblivious to his orange-y face.

"Jen! This is so fun!" Dianna squealed, still laughing at Anthony's face. "This is the best thing ever!" She was quite getting into it now.

Brian, used to this behavior by Derek, glared at Diana. "You were just scared half to death, and after seeing us humiliated, find fun in this?"

"It was funny, alright?" Dianna said defensively. "You're all.. Orange. Like a pumpkin. Before that it was just scary."

"Well Brian, let's see how she likes being covered in mashed carrots!" With that, Anthony gathered some of the remaining carrot in the bowl, and threw a handful of it at her face.

"Anthony!" Dianna wailed, trying to get most of it off her face. Instead of crying and whining about it more, though, she just grabbed a handful of mashed potatoes and forced them down his shirt. "How do you like me now, huh?!"

Jennifer gasped a bit, slowly coming out of hiding to see what was going, she couldn't help but give a bit of a laugh. "Guys?"

Brian chuckled a bit, watching them, then eyed Jennifer. He wiped some carrot off and flicked t at her.

Jennifer felt the sticky goo attach to her arm, the texture of it made her shiver. But with a large smile, she responded with a rather large blueberry that looked as if was about to explode aimed at Brian's chest.

"Ooh, that's going to stain!" Dianna remarked, grinning at all of them. This really was turning out to be a blast.
