The Library

Jennifer felt so awful after she made it to the door... next break she would make sure to make him some of her mom's peppermint cookies for sure!

Kyle pointed his wand toward Brian, and it lowered, as if his shoulders were relaxing. "Brian! Long time no see!" He was grinning like a mad man, but the shadows of the library concealed his face. Tonight had finally come.

Brian turned. His fear lessened. But, there was something strange. "Hey, Kyle! Why are you here this late?" he said, holding his sweater close. He pulled his wand out, and put it in his pocket. His eyes reflected the light from his wand.

"Oh, I'm a Prefect. I usually have to hang around after curfew to make sure no one's still up." He was quiet for a moment, "Hey, not all of the other Prefects are as chill about stragglers as I am, there's a secret passage up to your common room if you wanna just follow me.." Kyle kept the wand just below his face in order to hide his look of hungry desperation for success.

Brian's eyes widened with relief. "Really?! Thanks, Kyle! You're the best." he said, grinning. "I hope my friend doesn't get caught. Maybe we should go find her first and show her the passage way?"

"Tsk, Jennifer will be fine. You ought to be worried about yourself!" Kyle muttered the counter-spell, putting the light of his wand out before directly poking Brian's chest, "Imperius!"

A surge of power went through Kyle's body, exiting from his wand. His first Unforgivable Curse. His mother had always told him they were utterly useless unless you meant it, and he did. He gave this his all, he needed to succeed. He needed to show the world how corrupt everything was. How Hogwarts being a safe haven was just another piece of propaganda shoved down the public's throat. Why, why could no one else see his logic? Everyone had such clouded vision, Kyle... Kyle had to show them!

Brian's wide eyes closed for a moment as he felt his body was surrounded in the curse, and them he opened them. They were slightly glazed, as though the curse was blazing in a bright blue fire behind them. Brian was breathing slowly, deeply, as though asleep. He stood there, but not really looking. No, he was locked inside himself, floating in false joy.

Kyle's true self was now showing as he hissed directions into Brian's ear, "Go to the abandoned girl's bathroom on this floor. You'll find that whispering," He stopped speaking in an identifiable tongue. The word that came out next was one long breath, like that of a snake's. "Will open the chamber. Go down and open any vents you can find, then you come back up here, and go to bed. Forget all of this."

Brian then left, almost like a zombie, without a word. He went through the halls, miracally without getting caught, and arrived at the bathroom. Following the exact commands of Kyle, he went down like said.
