Somewhere on the Third Floor Empty

Louise stood in front of an arched window, hands behind her back, in a cloud of mist that was rising from the pouring rain hitting the exposed area of floor. She'd kicked off her shoes and tugged off her stockings, and was enjoying the feel of the condensing dew around her bare feet. The blaze of summer had, at last, begun to subside.

"Do you mind shutting that window?" came a voice that was surprising polite. A voice like that could only belong to Victor. He was supposed to be heading towards the library with his class, to find books about the history of The Dark Mark, but he had gotten lost on the way there.

He gave the girl a rather small smile. "It's cold enough, even without the extra draft."

Louise didn't appear startled, even though she'd kept her eyes closed through the boy's approach. They opened slightly now, searching the empty frame for its pane. "There's nothing to close," she replied, after her brief survey. "It's more of a hole in the wall."

"Oh, here, lemme see." As always, Victor always had to go and make sure that it was something that he couldn't fix. Gazing at the old, stained glass window, he frowned slightly as he pulled out his wand.

"Any idea of how to fix this?" he asked, pointing at it.

Louise shrugged. Certainly, there was likely some variation on Reparo. In truth, she didn't WANT the window repaired; and, as such, she wasn't about to say anything.

"...Hmm..." Victor indeed tried the standard Reparo, but that didn't seem to work. But, after a few minutes of trying, he just sighed, and put his wand away.

"I guess it's better off not being fixed, even with the rain." he said sadly.
