Hallowen Feast

Serenity Rosensteel skipped her way into the Great Hall. It was a beautiful Halloween- a dark stormy night, the perfect ominous mood.
And she had the perfect costume on.
She was wearing a sweet little baby blue dress with a white apron over it, a thin black headband, and her hair was completely straight, to better suit the costume. In fact, she was a perfect Alice.

She went down to her usual seat at the Gryffindor table, beaming at all of the food in front of her.

Participating in Halloween seemed a little terrifying to Amanda. If she went full out and no one else did, she'd be the freak. However, if she did not try at all and everyone else did? Almost worse. Almost.

So, slowly she stepped into the Great Hall adjusting her black cat ear headband. She couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief at the sight of a scattered costumes, all showing varying amounts of effort thrown into them. Lifting her face up, it was now visible that she had drawn a set of black whiskers and a pink, heart shaped nose on her face matched with eyeliner in the cat eye style.

Amanda took a seat at her usual table, already eyeing the orange themed food before the majority got down to eat.

Nicolas was too afraid to dress up for Halloween. He wasn't sure if wizards celebrated the holiday or whether they separated it in a different way or what, so he figured it was best to just not do anything. When he got to the Great Hall, he was relieved to see that not everyone had chosen to wear a costume. He looked up and down the Ravenclaw table and, once he had noticed Amanda, went to sit with her. "Hi! I like your costume!"

"Long time no see!" Amanda smiled widely as she adjusted her tie- she wasn't nearly bold enough to more than the ears and makeup, so she stuck with her uniform.

"I honestly was pretty afraid no one would dress up... This is kind of perfect though!"

The majority of the girls' restrooms were now out of toilet paper. Mel sauntered into the hall, trains of paper bandages trailing behind her, and chose to sit with a few acquaintances rather than go through the same drag of sitting at her own table. She poured herself a goblet of juice, yawning a greeting to Serenity.

"Yeah! The professors sure do keep us busy." Nicolas poured himself a glass of milk. "That's what I was afraid of... so I didn't do anything."

Amanda adjusted her ears as she spoke, "I wonder if the muggle work load is similar! Hard to believe there's so much of it."

"Hey Mel, how are you? Happy Halloween! So.. What are you supposed to be?" Serenity asked, a bit confused. Toiletpaper monster, maybe? It was awfully terrifying. She was grabbing a roll and buttering it up as she spoke.

"It isn't, really." Nicolas shrugged as he grabbed a roll from the basket that was going around. "Then again, I didn't even finish primary school. I can only assume it's similar, though they cover different subject material."

Amanda was carefully cutting into her stack of pancakes as she spoke, "Guess so. Think they do anything special here for Halloween?"

"Besides decorating and the feast, I don't think so." Nicolas took a swig of his milk, leaving a thin line right above his lip.

"I'm a mummy," said Mel, frowning slightly and sipping her juice. "What're you?"

"I'm Alice in Wonderland, silly." Serenity said with a slight giggle. "Well, it suits your hair. I just wish I could throw a Halloween party.."
