West Staircase, 7th floor.

The west staircase was one of Dianna's favorite places to hang out. It almost never stopped moving, so it was usually nice and private, as people didn't go on it very much. It was rather hard to get on, though..

But she had done it yet again, and was playing around with a yo-yo.

"Hey, Dianna."

Anthony's friendly voice came from a staircase directly above her. He gave her a little wave, and then called out for her again.

"Err, Josiah said you wanted to talk to me about something?" he shouted.

"Oh- Josiah. Hah, right.." Dianna yelled right back. "He's right. It's kind of important, too.. Um, do you want me to come up there, or do you think you can get down to me?"

"Um..." he studied the constantly moving staircase a bit uneasily. "It might be easier if you come up where I am, instead!" he shouted back at her.

"Yeah! I'll be right up!"

It didn't take her very long to get up to where he was. "So, I wanted to talk to you about Audrey. She's a really good friend of mine.. She said because I'm her friend, that people will like me. But she's wrong- people keep teasing me, and when I asked her about it, she started yelling. I don't know why.. But she said that it's because I'm friends with you."

"What?" Anthony's eyebrows furrowed together in confusion. "That's really strange... but, why would she say something like that in the first place? It's not true."

"Audrey really doesn't like you." Dianna seemed miserable. "But I think she's right. People are making fun of me in the hallways, Anthony. And you know Josiah Silva? Well.. I really like him, but I think he thinks I'm weird. But I don't want to stop being your friend, that's so ridiculous. So I was thinking about it and I had an idea." She smiled weakly.
"We could hang out.. without other people knowing. It's only because I can't handle being made fun of, Anthony. People are being really mean to me."

Anthony hesitated a bit. He stared at her for a long time, trying to figure her out. What was she trying to pull here?

Whatever it was, Anthony wasn't sure if he cared for this 'secret friend' business.

"Well, I've never seen people bothering you," He argued back.

"Because they won't say anything with the both of us around. It's not that big of a deal." Dianna asked, clasping her hands together. "Please, Anthony?"
