Transfiguration: Gryffindor and Slytherin; Second Year.

This had outclassed the whole newspaper gag by ten fold.

Will took a couple steps back, treading the floor carefully, to admire his handiwork. Compared to this, the newspaper scheme was perfectly dull.

After months (he had started this in summer) of collecting and saving up, he had finally acquired enough copies of Witches Weekly to re-wallpaper Professor Brown's classroom, and every object in it. But this time, it wasn't just black print on yellow paper with the occasional picture. There were now colorful pictures everywhere. Young women modeling the latest fashions, celebrity wizards, with camera flashes everywhere, multicolored text that was popping up everywhere, and one special picture on the blackboard that squirted perfume for an advertisement.

It was all so perfect, and distracting. And Professor Brown was going to have a fit.

But, Will heard the steps and chattering of approaching twelve year olds, so he quickly darted out of the classroom, giving himself a pat on the back.

Despite the current smoothness and undeniably brilliant work of Will, Professor Brown happened to pass Will as he walked down the hall. She eyed him curious- he had a rather smug air about him. She did not like this at all. No, Professor Brown never enjoyed seeing Will with such swag, especially when going down the hallway which happens to hold the door to her classroom. But no, she did not stop him. For she knew, what it was once like, being a kid and having the ability to have such success in devious plots and all the glorious attributes it had to it, therefor she kept her mouth shut, and kept walking. She then turned sharply, and entered her classroom.

"Well, William Sawyer, you really outdid yourself," she said, shaking her head. It was clear her temper was rising and bubbling to a peek at that moment.

Will stopped, and turned back at her, with a wondrous smirk on her face. Oh, today was indeed a glorious day.

"Professor Brown, did you say something?" he called back to her, teasing a bit.

Professor Brown slowly closed her eyes. She then looked right at him. "Mobilicorpus!" she cried, her wand whipping out of nowhere. He suddenly was lifted, and she held him at the top of the hall, his back right against the ceiling. "WILLIAM SAWYER, THIS IS THE FINAL STRAW!" she yelled looking up at him frighteningly mad.

"But Professor Brown! By the looks of things, you don't have any straws at all!" Will yelled back at her, so that she was able to hear him. Strangely enough, he was enjoying being up on the ceiling. It gave him a different perspective of Hogwarts.

"MOTHERFU-" She dropped him halfway and lifted the spell. "William Sawyer, be ready to have detention until Halloween."

"What for?" Will frowned slightly, at the prospect of being forced down. "You have absolutely no evidence to prove what I did."

At that point, Matilda was already heading around the corner. She saw Will getting chewed out by Kelsi and smirked, dipping into the classroom. She looked around. Slowly, she turned 180 degrees to face Kelsi and Will. "Erm, Professor Brown? There's something wrong with your classroom."

"Oh, she's freaking out because her classroom is covered in magazines. Nothing too exciting." Will shrugged a bit, trying to remain as casual as possible.

"William," Professor Brown said though clenched teeth. "I KNOW it was you. The facts are all around me!"

"WHICH facts are you talking about? I want to see all the evidence before I can confirm or deny anything." Will answered, and he was beginning to look and sound rather cross.

Professor Brown looked up at the ceiling with a sigh, and ran her fingers through her greying hair. "Oh, Will. Will, Will, Will. If you want to pull such rediculous feats, you mustn't leave such a trail behind you. And, you mustn't develop a style for such things. I mean, it was everso obviously you, considering you're the main one always trashng my classroom, pulling pranks and making my life miserable. Plus, it might be best not to enter the class of someone like me; you should know I cast enchantments to avoid having rotton little thieves or pranksters like you. If I go in there right now, I'll know instantly if it was you or not who did that." she said with a charming wink, after placing a hand on Will's shoulder. He was, unfortunately, beginning to be taller than her.

Will studied her carefully. He was about to open his mouth with some sarcastic retort, but that would have given me away. So, he stood up as straight and tall as he could, and cast his eyes down at his teacher.

"Professor Brown, what you just said neither proves or disproves me." he said in a rather crisp voice.

"Will, weren't you just telling me the other day about how hilarious your next prank on Professor Brown was going to be?" Matilda cocked her head to the side. "You said it was going to be so great, and much more memorable than that newspaper one."

Professor Brown raised an eyebrow. She turned to Matilda, then back to William. "Matilda DOES have a point, William. 10 points to Slytherin,"

"What?!" Will looked appalled. "Your giving her points for a silly reason like THAT?!" he exclaimed.

"It's not silly. It's apprehending a trouble-maker," Matilda said, smirking at Will from behind Kelsi.

Professor Brown sighed painfully. "Everyone in the whole world who knows you would know that you did that prank, Will. But look. I'm having a wonderful day. I am, and I have my reasons, okay? And I don't want to spend a whole month babysitting you until curfew every night. So you're off the hook, William. But beat it before I change my mind."

Matilda's smirk faltered a bit. Dammit, he wasn't going to be in trouble. Oh well, at least she still got ten points for her House. And from Professor Brown, of all people! Matilda sighed. "Do you need any help cleaning up your room, Professor Brown?" she asked, hoping to get more points out of this. Or even just to get on her teacher's good side.

"If you would, it'd be greatly appreciated," Professor Brown said sharply, and entered her room. She sighed. "And to think I've never read any of these..."

Matilda followed her in. "I read it because of all of the crap they post in it. Um, there's a spell that can help with this, right?" Matilda asked.

Will left, with a smirk on his face. He was grateful that he didn't get detention, and those magazines were going to be up for a while. He had, after all, used Ernie's Everlasting Sticking Glue.

Professor Brown sighed. "It's quite funny, dear. You see, Will thinks he was let off early. But he clearly forgot about our last meeting a while ago. In case you didn't know, I'll be letting his mom know about this." she said with a faint smile.

Matilda stared at her. "... you wouldn't."

"The kid's gotta learn his lessons, and it's the best thing I can do. I've been keeping everything else away, and I damn right would want to know what happens with MY children. Good thing they're reasonably good... most of the time."
