Scribbulus Everchanging Inks

Cam was standing outside of this shop, his hand holding a large bag full of ink refills and quills. He was just loitering there, looking slightly bored. He watched all the people walking by with his dark eyes, and checked the time here and there. He had nothing else to do- his robes fit him perfectly, he needed no wand, and he wasn't that interested in buying sweets. He never was a fan of sugar. So altogether, he looked extravagantly bored.

Coincidentally, Lucy and one of her friends happened to walk out of the shop. They stopped just a foot or so away from Cameron, talking about what to do next. Lucy was scantily clad in a pair of booty shorts and a tank top, but it wasn't like she cared. Naturally, the two were oblivious to Cameron being there at all.

Cameron obviously noticed her.

She was so beautiful, in such a natural and sincere sort of way. She hardly even had to TRY. Her beautiful, soft, long, curly, lucious, golden, shiny, PERFECT hair was tumbling around her cute little face in such a teasing way that was just calling Cam's yearning fingers to run right through it. And that million dollar smile she held upon her face so calmly and confidently, everything upon her was perfect in Cam's eyes. And she seemed so kind, too! Just a look at her showed sincerity to how she was speaking with her friends. Such poise and kindness radiated off this beautiful being and seeped right through Cameron, giving him goosebumps and tingles. Oh, how he wanted to hold Lucy in his arms and rock her to sleep! How he wanted to kiss and touch her better, and show her who he really was. How he wanted to know her for HER, and become her friend, become her boyfriend, become her husband! He looked away, blushing horribly red.

Lucy and her friend were completely oblivious to Cameron's inner love-monologue. Lucy happened to look up and around, and then spotted Cameron. Never giving up the opportunity to make herself look friendly and charming, she bounced over and tapped him on the shoulder. "Hi, Cameron!" she said, grinning. "How are you?"

Cameron gasped quietly, turning around to look down at Lucy. Another amazing fact about Lucy: She was one of the only girls actually shorter than him. "H-hi, there!" Cameron managed to croak out, then smiled shyly. "So....... buying inks?" he asked quietly, poking her bag. He then realized from her bag that YES, obviously she was, and she had just asked him how he was- and OH MY GOD SHE KNOWS MY NAME. his inwardly thoughts went into a victorious rage mode.

Lucy resisted the urge to snicker at how blatantly nervous he was. And that gasp, too. What, did he think she was an idiot for not noticing? "Yes, actually! I got some really pretty colors for this school year, and plenty to last me so that I'm not borrowing from my friends again, like last year." She laughed a little. "How's your supply hunt going?"

Cameron smiled. "It's going great! I have everything I need. I'll probably try to find my brothers though, and we'll go for ice cream or something. Otherwise, I have nothing planned. How about you?" he asked, relaxing a bit. He still felt very uptight, though.

"My friend and I"--she gestured over to the blonde that was talking to some black girl--"were just looking over what we need. I'll probably get my robes fitted, and some books. That's about it though."

"T-that's cool," Cameron said nodding slowly. A nice breeze went past them. It tickled his skin. "Well, it's really nice today!" he pointed out, trying to keep the conversation from dying away like a flame.

"Yes, it is! I love the weather here in London!" she grinned, twirling her hair around like all those middle school girls trying to be seductive would do. "I wish I could be here more often. It's so nice."

Cam wanted to take that piece of hair out of her hand and begin twirling it himself. He smiled down at her. "Really? Yeah, I've always enjoyed it myself, too. I never liked the dreariness it can get to, though," he said, sighing. He was actually having a normal conversation with her!

"Weather gets dreary everywhere," Lucy sighed. "I wish it could just be nice and warm like this all year."

"But, snow is amazing, too! That's why Hogwarts is great. It's warm AND cold. L-like everywhere else... Or not really, like down south in the tropical zones- ahh, nevermind." He chuckled anxiously.
