Breakfast. Yes.

Phil was at the Gryffindor table, with his head resting on his Charms textbook. It had took him over an hour to fall back asleep last night, and he was definitely feeling the effects of not getting enough sleep.

Will was in the Great Hall, collecting his newspaper donations from the kids.

And, as if drawn to him by a magnet, there was Caroline. "Hi, Will!" She said excitedly, smiling at him. "I see you're still collecting papers.."

Oh. It was her again.

"Oh, uh hi Caroline!" He turned to her, and gave her a jaunty smile. "How are you? You don't happen to have any old newspapers on you, right? I only need a couple more..."

Matt scooched beside Phil, and poked his head. "Wake up, dude, you couldn't be that tired." As he spoke, he grabbed a bowl of corn flakes and started pouring in sugar.

"You don't understand. I need at least nine hours of sleep or I am NOT a happy counter." Phil mumbled, before looking back up at Matt. "You know, we have to present that Charms essay, right?"

Matt's eyebrows automatically rose. "Wait-wait-what?!" He voice higher than average. "From memory, or, or what!?" He wasn't planning on this!

"Actually, I did bring some for you." Caroline said, handing them to Will out of her bag. "I remembered you were keeping them and I've been saving all my Prophets just for you."

"No, it's not from memory, thank God. We just have to present our findings. But we'll get a lot of points taken off if we just read from the essay. That's why I'm making a little note card." Indeed, Phil was scribbling down information from his essay onto the note card.

"Hey, thanks!" Will's soft hand patted Caroline on the shoulder, as he took the little bag of newspaper. "In fact... I have more than enough, thanks to you!" After winking at him in his cheeky way, he marched off towards Professor Brown's classroom.

Caroline sighed as he left, smiling dreamily. "He's so perfect.." She mumbled, putting her head down on the table and staring at his retreating figure.

Matt's face fell back into a 'whatever' smile. "Alright, I'll just wing it then." He took another large bite of cereal, but it was mostly sugar in his spoon.

"You're screwed, aren't you?" Phil said, staring at Matt's bowl of cereal.

Matt shrugged. "Less screwed, more so in mid thought. Charms is next... I need a plan in the next twenty minutes." His eyes widened, and he started to dig through Phil's satchel, even if it was attached to him.

"HEY, no!" Phil snapped, as he pulled the bag away. He almost sounded like a master scolding his dog. "And I wasn't talking about your speech-you'll do fine on that. I was talking about your cereal." He pointed at that. "Your body will be screwed if you keep eating like that."

Matt gave another little sad whimper. "Says the one who snuck a huge piece of pie last night. But, normally my dad makes me eat this super hipster health food, Hogwarts is my only pig out time!"

"Wait, what's a hipster?" Phil asked. "And you need to work on your whimpers a little."

"It's like... like..." Matt honestly didn't know what it meant, he just heard his mother use it to talk about his dad when she had friends over. What mini description most fit his dad that could mean hipster?! "It's... um... like someone who is interested in the stuff others think is lame?" Yeah. I just screwed that definition up...

Phil raised his eyebrows. "So your father is a loser?"

Matthew narrowed his eyes, "No, he's just able to find the better in things than most." His best friend insulting his dad was something he couldn't stand for.

Leah sifted on into the Great Hall. Her dark hair was up in a bun, and she settled at the Gryffindor table next to the conversing boys, and served herself a bread roll with some butter. She was humming 'Let It Be'.

Caroline saw Leah, and went to sit next to her. "I gave Will his last newspapers." She said, a bit dreamily, before realizing just what she was saying. "Uh.. Good morning."

"What's with you and Will," she asked, saying it moreso as a demand then a question. She looked very tired, as she unimpressively took a large bite out of the bread roll and began to chew.

Caroline shrugged. "I dunno. When did you go to sleep last night? You look... tired."

"I couldn't sleep at all, I don't know why."
